Year-Round Guide

Guiding fishing and hunting year-round between the backountry waters of the Florida Keys and the trout streams of the mountain West in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He has a Bachelor of Science in Fish & Wildlife Management and Ecology & Evolution from Montana State University and has worked as a Fish Biologist for the State of Oregon. In 2012, he started guiding and hasn't looked back. He is part of the R.L. Winston Pro Staff and is involved with charity organizations and tournaments.

Andy is grateful to share his passions with his clients on the water and in the woods. Whether sneaking up on fish on the flats or elk in the timber, he will do his best to get as close to the targeted species as possible and show you a good time.

Guiding one of the best trout fisheries in the country for over a decade has been memorable and rewarding. The short float season (June-July) on the Yampa River is one not to be missed. Float fishing in the drift boat through unharassed waters is the ultimate trout fishing experience.

The only thing that pulls Captain Andy off the water is the magical sound of an elk’s bugle in the Fall. From September-October Andy is guiding elk hunts in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and making time to fill the freezer for his family.
